The interesting and unique history of Bobcaygeon is available for all
to see at Kawartha Settlers' Village. Our knowledgeable guides will
acquaint you with the various events and personalities that shaped
the history of this one-of-a-kind town nestled between Sturgeon and
Pigeon Lakes. From its early beginnings as a fur trading post in the
1600s, right up to its peak as the hub of the local lumber
industry in 1800s Upper Canada, Bobcaygeon has always been a
place of interest and activity. Come see our collection of buildings
and artifacts from the period of Bobcaygeon's settlement.
KSV is more than just a musem however, it is also a community center.
Since 1990 it has been the home of the Kawartha Region Arts and
Heritage Society, which strives to promote community involvement in
the arts and heritage preservation by offering courses, hosting
clubs, and mounting shows and exhibitions for local artists. Check
out the many creative and community-minded groups meeting at KSV
under our Information section.
Guided tours are available 7 days a week from 9am-4pm during the
summer months.
For off-season tours please call well in advance to book a date with
